Marine Vessel Installations
Discovery III/Fairbanks, Alaska - This riverboat, built in Whidbey Island, was recently retrofitted with a new sound, video and video control system. The sound system was upgraded to JBL and Crown components with Soundweb processing. Pelco cameras and the switcher were also upgraded. Morgan Sound developed an AMX control system to allow the Captain, from the wheelhouse, control all aspects of the A/V system suing a custom designed touch panel control screen. The cameras use presets for ease of recall when the vessel is docking or during the river run. As a final requirement, there are two systems running side by side in 'mirror mode' to ensure the vessel can continue its twice daily runs during the busy tourist season. Alaska Sightseeing/Cruise West - Morgan Sound has built or retrofitted sound and video systems for most of the vessels in the Cruise West fleet. Queen of the West - This Award Winning Vessel was built by Nichols Brothers Boat Builders of Whidbey Island, WA. Morgan Sound was responsible for the audio, video and lighting control systems on this vessel. The vessel features in-room video and audio with multiple channel selections available. Full override functions guarantee the safety of the passengers. There are two entertainment lounges on board. The Paddlewheel Lounge and the Main Showroom.
