Morgan Sound - Lynnwood, WA

CHURCH INSTALLATIONS

Mercer Island First Covenant Church ... Installed a new 3 box cluster using JBL Architectural Series enclosures. A unique cluster and bracket were designed and installed to blend into the open ceiling architecture of the church. Upgrades in the amplification and mixing system were incorporated into the project.

Lighthouse Christian Church ... Installed a three box cluster, new amplification and a totally new snake cable system for the church's temporary sanctuary. Care was taken to use equipment which could be relocated when the church sanctuary moves into a new planned building.

Christian Supply ... This is a favorite bookstore/supply house for the Christian community on the Eastside. The new store was outfitted with a complete storewide sound system integrated into a point of sale video system.

Holy Rosary Church / West Seattle ...Over the period of two years, Morgan Sound has installed a new front end section to the existing audio system at the church, removed and installed a new center cluster which is suspended some 45 feet in the air in the church, and installed an infrared hard of hearing system. Recently, after a serious fire in the sanctuary, the new speaker cluster had to be removed and renovated. During this time, a new UHF wireless system with multiple transmitters and receivers was also installed. Contact Joellen Vinyard at 935-8353.

First Reformed Church of Oak Harbor ... Morgan Sound has installed a new suspended center cluster, as well as a new front end mixing system and amplifiers in this church.

St. Mark's Church ... In two phases an entire new sound system was installed in this church, located in North City. The existing cluster location, some 40 feet from the floor was used to house new loudspeaker systems. New wireless microphone systems were installed, as well as new wiring for the choir loft.

Our Lady of the Lake Church ... A complete new system was installed at the church, using a center cluster and under alcove speakers, as well as speakers in the adjoining sections of the church. The center cluster is suspended from the reinforced concrete beams that hold up the ceiling of the main sanctuary. A minimum of architectural conflict was achieved.

Seattle First Covenant Church ... A complete new system was installed in this domed church located in downtown Seattle at 400 East Pike Street. The building is on the Historical Register of Seattle, and great care had to be taken to integrate a system into the chancel dome without detracting from the interior architecture. The solution was to use a ring suspended inside the original lighting fixture hung from the center of the dome. Under balcony delay speakers were then integrated into existing locations, along with delay rings in the upper balcony of the church which could be muted if desired. To achieve the same sound under the balcony that was being experienced while seated in the open space below the dome, a digital reverberator with a specially modified program was used. An estimated 6.5 miles of new microphone cabling was installed. The entire amplifier and equalization section was fitted into an upstairs closet, with remote controls located in the main floor audio booth.

St. Jude Parish ... This church had an existing center cluster which was removed and replaced with a new 3 box cluster. The open beam architecture presented the need for a color matched, clean installation. All JBL components were installed in custom enclosures. The entire equipment rack was housed in the choir storage room adjacent to the platform. The components housed in the rack are completely versatile, yet easy to use with one button operation.

Temple Beth Am ... This system was installed into the newly added sanctuary. The split box system was later enhanced with automatic mic mixers and a separate system for the choir loft. Special considerations were given to the architecture of the building. Several wireless systems were installed. Video monitoring was tied into the system to allow viewing of the services from the library and other overflow rooms.

Edmonds Holy Rosary ... A new, five box cluster was installed in the church, along with delay speakers in the rear of the church and under a side balcony area. A complete set of new electronics and amplification was installed in a rack custom made for the church by two of the parishioners. Due to the need for some surface mount wiring to add 16 channels of microphone inputs to the choir area, a custom oak raceway was installed to match the interior of the church. New wireless mics and choir monitors were also installed.

Snohomish First Presbyterian Church ... A new three box system was installed to match the unique glue lam construction of the church. The enclosures were tucked some 35 feet into the apex of the curving glue lams so that they might service the three zones of the church. A new console location was custom fabricated. The amplifiers were relocated to a rear closet to reduce background noise. A distributed 70 volt system was installed to handle overflow rooms and the other areas of the church.

Westminster Chapel ... Morgan Sound has installed a number of systems at this church's facility, including a system in the Student Center, as well as systems in various rooms of the church's classroom areas.

St. Therese Church ...The church was completely renovated in mid-1997. The altar was relocated to the center of the floor, and an entirely new sound system was installed to accommodate this new configuration. Morgan Sound worked closely with the architectural firm to ensure that the speaker and control systems did not intrude on the newly redecorated space.

Shoreline Covenant Church ...This church was remodeled and expanded in mid 1997. Morgan Sound installed a new center cluster and complete sound system, as well as a speaker system for the new digital organ.

HIS Place Foursquare/Mount Vernon ... Morgan Sound designed and installed a system that would grow with the proposed expansion of the church. Due to the low ceiling and cross beams that blocked sound coming from the platform, a series of self powered loudspeakers were installed in conjunction with a digital time delay and a set of existing subwoofers. While this work was being performed, we also reconfigured the entire front end of the sound system. Morgan Sound also provided consultation and materials to solve a number of acoustical problems in the sanctuary.

Northlake United Church of Christ ...Here we installed a two box center cluster and provided a number of new microphone line runs to the platform by modifying an existing conduit system. The speaker enclosures were disassembled and recolored to match the interior of the church. A quick disconnect, multipin system was installed to allow the console and other front end equipment to be stored when the building was in use for functions that did not require an audio system.

South Hill Full Gospel Church ...Morgan Sound designed and installed a new center cluster for this existing church in early 1997. New front end control equipment was installed as well. A complete lighting system and suspension bars for same were installed.

Highlands Community Church ...Morgan Sound designed this system for the church, and provided all the necessary pieces to allow the owners to install the system themselves. After installation was complete, we then tuned the system and provided on site consultation and training. By working in partnership with the church, substantial savings were realized.

Alderwood Foursquare Church/Lynnwood ...This is another church that Morgan Sound partnered with to help the church meet its goals for sound equipment for its newly constructed facility. All the design work was done by Morgan Sound, and all the required pieces were provided to make a complete installation possible, from floor pockets to lighting bars. Morgan Sound provided the expertise needed to suspend the loudspeakers.
